Huttig is looking for a competent Supply Chain Anaylst to support the Global Sourcing pillar!

The role requires the ability to understand, interpret and produce management reports on complex data sets in relation to our global sourcing strategy. The position reports directly to the Director, Global Sourcing.


  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data sets related to companywide historical demand on product lines.
  • Develop models and scenarios to forecast future demand.
  • Monitor and report on supply/demand variances, market trends and material prices.
  • Develop and maintain project plans to ensure initiatives are implemented to plan.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier agreements and performance against the service level agreement
  • Monitor performance to discount structures and volume rebate schedules.
  • Report ongoing improvements in costs and quality of the products and services procured.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure the terms of service levels agreements are enforced.
  • Monitor compliance with all applicable trade and customs regulations.
  • Perform routine supplier visits.
  • Handle other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the management team in managing supplier relationships over multiple product lines.
  • Coordinated material specifications to be included in procurement/sourcing RFQs
  • Review and issue of RFI and RFQ, analyze proposals, negotiate and structure contracts
  • Structure RFQs and unbundle proposal costs in order to understand total landed cost (TLC),
  • Assure purchased goods are obtained on a timely basis within suppliers capacity at lowest TLC


  • 1-3 years in a supply chain or project management role in an industrial setting.
  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited College or University, Degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or Materials Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to plan and implement complex plans and schedules.
  • Strong leadership presence, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level and across cultures.
  • Strong analytical, economic research, data interpretation and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient.  Capable of managing multiple projects effectively.
  • ERP experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of any Asian language , Mandarin is preferred
  • Requires 15% or more domestic and international travel.
